Overview

A woodworker and mixed media artist wanted to create a simple website to showcase their work and raise brand awareness during Pittsburgh Pride 2023, where the artist had an interactive installation travelling around the city.

Problem & Solution

The artist didn’t have a large budget, was very short on time, had no idea where to start or what was needed to get the project done. My job was to create something simple, yet memorable that they could improve and scale up on their own in time. I also needed to create a brand kit with logos, color palettes and fonts.

Social Strategy

Problem & Solution

This client needed a strategy that was both sustainable and simple. They also wanted to learn the process for themselves so they could replicate it month after month instead of having their socials managed. My job was to make a simple, yest sustainable and scalable social strategy and content plan for TikTok that was easily executable so that they could learn to post more consistently and engage their audience.

Goals/Requirements:

  • Wants to start with 1 x post / per week
  • Needs to learn basic video editing
  • Wants to have a variety of content

Process

  • Started with an audit and brainstorming session where I learned about the client’s motivations, strengths, weaknesses and goals
  • Created a content strategy and plan for posting once a week to start
  • Taught client how to brainstorm, research and create their own content plan
  • Created a list of 40 content ideas and prompts that could be swapped out each month
  • Taught them how to research hashtags and how to create a hashtag libraby
  • Taught them how to interpret their analytics
  • Taught them how to use CapCut and basic video editing techniques
